Internship

Most of what we know about the world and our place in it is derived from learning through our experiences. My internship provided a real-world platform to apply technical skills and gain practical expertise in cybersecurity. I learned the complexity of maintaining secure systems, and staying current with security practices, and gained expertise in tools like Xacta 360 for cyber compliance. This experience deepened my understanding of theoretical concepts like CCIs and the NIST framework and prepared me to tackle security challenges in my future career. The internship served as a bridge between theory and practice, fueling my motivation and reinforcing my passion for the field. Beyond the technical aspects, it offered opportunities for networking and personal growth. I connected with peers and gained insights into the company's organizational structure. Despite facing challenges such as initially focusing on reading-heavy tasks, deciphering industry-specific jargon, overcoming a steep learning curve, clarifying project objectives, and having limited autonomy, these obstacles proved instrumental in my personal and professional development. They underscored the importance of adaptability and resilience in a dynamic work environment.
